On September 18, 2023, a media outlet reported that Red Velvet was expected to make a comeback in November. SM Entertainment later then confirmed the news and announced that the group was preparing for a full-length album expected to release in November. [1]
On October 17, 2023, the title of the album 'Chill Kill' was revealed through a poster posted on X.[2]
