Like Water is the debut mini album released by Wendy. It was released on April 5, 2021 with "Like Water" and "When This Rain Stops" serving as the album's double title tracks.

On 10th March 2021, Starleynews first reported that Wendy would have her solo debut. Not long after, SM Entertainment confirmed this - also stating that it would happen in April. At this point, Wendy was on hiatus after her accident at SBS Gayo Daejeon Festival.
The teaser was dropped on Naver Tv and YouTube at midnight on the 2nd April

On March 10, 2021, SM Entertainment announced that Wendy will make her solo debut in April.[1] On March 24, it was confirmed that she will release her first mini-album "Like Water" on April 5, 2021, following the first teaser image revealed with the tagline "New chapter of our lives has begun".[2] Teaser photos will be released on March 28th through April 4th.
